The process of a 3-chip LCD Laser Projector
Firstly, the beam splitter divides the light into two beams.
One beam changes to yellow when passing through a
phosphor wheel, while the other beam remains blue. The
two beams then recombine into white light and separate
into red, green and blue through dichroic mirrors. Each of
the three colours passes through the LCD panels,
producing three individuals images. Finally, these images
are transmitted through a prism and combined into a
full-colour image.
